Sneak peaks at OM Issue #2 content.

by Other Minds Magazine Portal Administrator last modified 2010-04-24 17:12

The deadline for submitting new content for Issue #2 has come at last.

Now we can give everyone a glimpse as to the articles that may be in the upcoming issue. These are not yet fully set in stone (pending final editorial revisions and acceptance).

But so far, the content is likely to include the following:

  • A Response to Mapping Arda - Eric Duborg (Opinion)
  • Mapping Arda Reloaded - by Thomas Morwinsky (updates to the original mapping Arda in OM1).
  • Numenoreans in Endor - Gabrielle (Essay)
  • Dunadan Maritime Technology - Thomas Morwinsky (Essay)
  • Tolkien & Trees - Hawke Robinson (Essay)
  • The Guild of Venturers and Numenorean Colonies (Essay)
  • A review of the new Parma by Chris Seeman (pending) (update, 2008-01-07, this was cancelled, Chris's poor computer died, he'll try to get this in next issue)
  • Numenorean Timeline sidebar
  • Colorized map of Numenor (B&W by Thomas Morwinsky, colorized by Hawke Robinson_
  • Feature Adventure Module from MerpCon I: "Escape From Numenor", MerpCon I/Other Minds edition
  • "Core", "Optional", "House"

Again, this is still a dynamic list of possible content, but it gives some idea of the great range of submissions.
Thank you to everyone for making your submissions. We have also already started receiving submissions for issues #3 and #4. Many thanks for that as well.
#4 is going to be timed with MerpCon IV, and the theme of Dwarves. #3 is more of a "miscellaneous" issue, that will have follow up content from the previous two issues, as well as other
unrelated content.
The more content we get futher in advance, the easier it will be to organize and prepare issues on a quarterly schedule.
More updates in coming weeks.
Remember, the downloadable version of the magazine will be available for free tot he general public by February 1st.
Thank you for supporting Other Minds Magazine.
